October 2006

Ensign Boxers has had a very exciting year we congratulate Terri Dunning and Statton for his recent Championship in Washington Oct. 29th 2006.That makes #27 US champions for his sire Sabre and #2 for his Mom Brooklyn from her first litter. It was fun in the ring at Regional when Nancy Schepis pulled for her Sr. Sweepstakes winner Statton and then his sister Sophie, that was a great time to get to see these two in the ring and were actually competing against each other.  I like it when either way you win JWe are a small Boxer Breeder in Utah and for the first time in my life last year I had two litters.  What fun it has been Statton’s win gives us five Champions this year.  Cali earned her DOM from one litter, and five Ch. to date. We also have Maggie our first Can. Ch. and Statton is off to Canada to finish his Canadian Ch.  His first trip to Canada he won the Canadian National as WD and BOW. We then were honored to have one of our Ensign boxers Specialed by Diego and Evie Garcia, “Mamie”,she made the Top Twenty in boxers and All Breed!!  It certainly has been a very exciting and memorable year with many great owner friends and other breeders cheering on these kids.

She started this new special career the weekend of March 3-4th in Secaucus New Jersey.  Sunday March 4th she went BOB and Group 4.  She was handled in group by Evie Garcia.  A Great way to start out her new career, we hope it will go well for her and her new owners.

In the Arizona circuit “Statton” Ensign’s Causin Applause, picked up two majors!  Sat. he went WD for a three point major and Sunday he was WD and BOW for a 4 point major from the 6-9 puppy class.  We are very proud of this young boy.  Also to commend his owner Terri Dunning for bringing Statton from Alaska to compete at these shows where it might have been a lot easier for her to stay in Alaska and pick up his majors at shows that don’t need the high numbered entries, she is a true competitor.  Congratulations to Terri.
