Shredder Update:
April 29, 2005  (14 years + 8 1/2 months)
This was a very Dark Day for Dixie.
Shredder decided he would leave us to go and wait on the big couch at the end of the bridge for the rest of us to get there.
He was such a good boy...he always thought that he was 'above' everyone else...2 or 4 legged.
He was a True Boxer to the end...I always said I didn't want to have to make the final decision...I wanted him to go peacefully at home, on his bed, and with me by his side....and that is exactly what he did.
Total Loyalty til his final breath.
Keep your toys rounded up and don't let the others on your couch my sweet boy...
til we meet again.....I'll always love you.................

Shredder was OFA X-rayed (hips) at 6 years old-GOOD.

Shredder started out in his show career winning "BEST PUPPY" at the Dallas Boxer Club Specialty when he was 7 months old. We started in the conformation ring together, which I might add, he was not thrilled about. But, since I was having fun, he decided to participate too. This was my first dog to show in the conformation ring. I have to admit...the Obedience Ring is my true-love!!!! Shredder finished in 1995 with two 5 point majors.

Best Veteran Dog Boxer Club of Louisiana Judge Maxine Beam 9-8-2000

Shredder went to the Louisiana Boxer Club Specialty on September 2, 2000 and went Best Veteran Dog at the 'YOUNG" age of 10 years old-Owner Handled!

In May 2003, I took Shredder to the American Boxer Club Nationals in Fontana, WI  to be in the Parade of Champions.
It was a Very Proud Moment for me when Shredder was the first one called in the ring...being the first in meant that He was the OLDEST Champion there.  I could not have been more proud.
He was 12 years-9 months old and he was Proud.
But, you wouldn't expect anything less from him, after all...he is a Boxer.
